About Us

We Provide Care

Heading Forward Homes is a family based Semi-independent home and Bespoke Care facility for vulnerable young people aged between the ages of 16 – 18 and standalones for 18+.

Here at Heading forward homes we understand the challenges young people may face as they prepare to leave local authority care. We aim to provide the emotional and practical tools required for our young people to be able to independently support themselves when they move on to their own homes. Heading Forward Homes would like to ensure the support our young people receive will make the move from ‘looked after child’ to ‘leaving care team’ a smooth transition and equip them with the knowledge needed as they head forward into their new chapter of independence.

Family is at the heart of our home, and we recognise that it takes a village to support our young people through this vital transitional stage. We know that with the right support, they can go on to achieve amazing things. Therefore, we will work collaboratively with Families, Education providers as well as Health & Social Care practitioners, to provide consistency and a dedicated support network. As a family care home, we pride ourselves on and look forward to everyone enjoying an evening meal together, providing the opportunity to strengthen relationships and promote healthy habits, in eating well balanced meals honouring our pledge to keep dinner time protected.

Our tailored care service reflects our commitment to treating our young people as individuals with dignity and respect regardless of their current circumstances, past and present. At Heading Forward Homes we celebrate diversity and provide a safe & nurturing space for our young people to thrive and develop their sense of self. Our goal is by the time our young people are ready to leave us and go out into the world they will be able to do so with confidence.

our mission

Our values & Aims

At Heading Forward Homes ‘It is our mission to, Engage, Empower and Enable every young person, to believe they have what it takes to reach for the life opportunities they desire, through a process of tailor-made programs in our service provision, enabling them to create a positive future.’

The young people within our care will be supported in the pursuit of their own interests and staffs are committed to working with each young person and encourage them to participate in leisure activities and appropriate social interaction locally.

Our staffing team can provide care and support to young people who may have experienced abuse, neglect, and exclusion in the past. They recognize that many young people must regain control of their lives, their behaviour and provide the necessary structure and boundaries to enable them to do so.

Management and senior staff at HFH ensure that the staffing team are supported and guided in the work that is completed with each individual young person. We believe that each young person needs a sense of boundaries, routines, consistency in their lives followed by a caring support system. We feel this will encourage the young people to develop and maintain pride, self-discipline, self-esteem, confidence which will teach them to trust, have respect for themselves and others. We have a team who are motivated, passionate, and committed to working with Young People, and empower them to express themselves positively, whilst supporting them as they learn to overcome previous traumas in their lives that impact on their well-being and resilience.

Our experience in CQC compliance will be put into use as we intend to maintain the same high standards of expectations and responsibility to the other categories of care which are not currently regulated such as semi-independent care.
